How the Eurodiet high protein diet can help your patients lose weight fast and prepare for gastric bypass surgery

Many patients want to lose weight fast and others need to lose weight before a weight loss operation. We know that many slimming programmes can be faddy, with impressive initial weight loss results, but poor longevity. That’s not the case with Eurodiet. Our weight loss programme equips dieters with the physiological and psychological tools they need to lose weight fast and succeed in staying healthy for the long term.
Doctors, nutritionists and chefs have developed our low carb, high protein diet foods, so we can be sure that the meals are both nutritionally sound and delicious. The diet food range includes a wide range of meals, all high protein and low carb, including shakes, smoothies and soups which are an ideal diet after gastric band surgery.
Our aim is to provide a way of eating which is accessible to all, from those wishing to lose considerable amounts of weight to those wishing to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. The weight loss support that you and Eurodiet provide to your clients during the slimming programme is an integral part of the process. Eurodiet is suitable for those preparing for a gastric bypass operation or stomach banding, and because of the high protein, low calorie and high nutritional content of our foods, is a perfect diet for after weight reducing surgery.
The initial Phases 1 and 2 of Eurodiet (suitable only for those with a BMI of 30+ and 27+ respectively), where rapid weight loss can be achieved are not intended to be a quick fix, rather the first steps on the road to a maintainable way of healthy eating.
Bad eating habits are easy to form and difficult to break, which is why we suggest that Phases 1 to 3 of the programme are followed for a minimum of 12 weeks. This allows time for new habits to be formed and eases your customer into a new way of thinking and eating.
In contrast to other ketogenic diets and low calorie diets (LCD), Eurodiet products are formulated with a combination of milk, egg and five different sources of proteins, ensuring a full complement of essential amino acids and essential fatty acids. All products are approved by the Food Standards Agency in line with Notification of Food for Particular Nutritional Uses (PARNUT) regulations, and also adhere to current guidelines for products to be used in ketogenic diets (Scoop 2003).
Moreover the Eurodiet programme, even during the initial ketogenic diet phases, advocates the use of selected vegetables and salads to be used alongside our meals, ensuring natural sources of vitamins and minerals as well as the RDA levels in the products themselves.
